Darren Robinson, Managing Partner of Anderson Wise, Luxembourg’s most experienced recruitment & executive search firm, has been elected onto the Council for the British Luxembourg Society.
Over 70 years ago twenty-three Luxembourgers, among them the Luxembourgish Prime minster and ‘father of the euro’ Pierre Werner (1913-2002) and one Brit founded the British-Luxembourg Society.
Robinson says ‘I’m delighted to be an official part of the British-Luxembourg Society, who relaunched their activities a couple of years ago. Considering the developments with Brexit, I can think of no better time to work with an association which exists to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Great Britain’
Among its activities the Society has been hosting an annual Sir Winston Churchill Memorial Lecture with speakers including Margaret Thatcher (when in office), Neil Kinnock, Chris Patton, George Robertson, Lord Hurd and Lord Green.
The society continues its education programme, teaching English Language and Literature, while developing a series of social and cultural events to appeal to both British and Luxembourg members as well as all other nationalities who have an interest in British Culture.
