In 2023, we are honoured to have played a role in supporting various local and international charitable initiatives through the Katharina Kitzinger Memorial Fund.
Empowering the Maasai
Our commitment extends to backing development and education projects in northern Tanzania. While education is often taken for granted in many parts of the world, it remains an elusive dream for numerous children, particularly girls in Tanzania. We aspire to change this narrative, offering a chance for a different, more promising future.
This year, our Managing Partner embarked on a charitable journey, walking from Porto to Santiago de Compostela in solidarity with children facing cancer. Inspired by our Partner, Aude Francois’ son, Louis (age 10), diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2022, we rallied support from friends and raised 5,000 euros, a sum that our company, AW, doubled, resulting in a total contribution of 10,000 euros to Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner.
Supporting the cause of protection, afforestation, and reforestation, this Luxembourg NGO, Graine de Vie, aligns with our mission to offset our carbon footprint and contribute to the alleviation of hunger and poverty. Our involvement in a Madagascar project with the Anderson Wise Nursery not only aids in carbon offsetting but also creates employment opportunities for locals and provides sustenance for the village. In 2023 alone, we have successfully planted 4000 trees, nurturing the growth of forests together under the hashtag #talent4trees.
‘To live one day in a world without cancer is the hope that we all share.’ Acknowledging the profound impact of cancer on our lives and the lives of those around us, we wholeheartedly support the Foundation Cancer’s mission to create a world free from cancer.
Turkey–Syria earthquakes
Our team was moved by the humanitarian crisis that unfolded during the aftermath of the earthquake early this year. We immediately responded with donations through, the Luxembourg Turkish Cultural Association, the Syria Humanitarian Fund, UN Crises Relief and the Ahbap Association
About the Katharina Kitzinger Memorial Fund
In memory of our dear friend Katharina Kitzinger, the wife of our Founding Partner, David Kitzinger, who passed away in December 2020, we continue to uphold the Anderson Wise corporate identity that she helped shape. Each year’s end, a portion of Anderson Wise’s profits is dedicated to the memorial fund, which, in turn, supports various social and environmental causes both locally and internationally.
A heartfelt thank you for joining us on this journey of making a positive impact on the lives of others!
Warm regards,
The AW Team
